D.I.Y. Sugar Body Scrub

Aww yeah! Before I start, I just want to say thank you for the support that all of my dear friends and fellow bloggers have given me. It is really encouraging and I appreciate it dearly! I actually celebrated by dancing with myself to Brit-pop music because I was that happy. So again, thank you, your support means a lot to me.

And now for my first D.I.Y: A Sugar Body Scrub!

I, personally, love body scrubs but I don't like buying things that I can easily make. Plus most body scrub have added preservatives and other fancy-smancy chemicals that are really not needed. So after a few fails I finally made a body scrub that I like.

1/2 cup Sugar
Juice from half a lemon
1 TBS honey
and my top secret ingredient...
1 tsp coffee grounds(optional)

I love the smell, texture and color that the coffee. You can choose to leave it out or use just a little if you wish.

Just mix all these ingredients together in the bowl, mug or jar of your choice and PRESTO! It is that easy.

FYI: I like my scrub to not be as thick as most are. If don't you can add more sugar until you reach the desired consistency. Balance it out by adding just a little more honey. Sometimes I use brown sugar instead of just regular sugar, It is completely up to you.

By the way, do you guys have any tips for this beginning blogger? I would love to hear them!

Enjoy!

xoxo Flore

  1. Welcome to the blogging world! I've never seen a DIY like this, looks good! I have so many body scrubs in the cupboard waiting to be used, kind of regretting buying them now! My tips for a beginning blogger are to just enjoy it and don't feel pressured to post certain things, it's your blog, you do it how you want! xx

  2. I love this body scrub DIY! Thanks for sharing it. I have several body scrubs that I really like, and they're homemade (not by me), too.
And girl there are a few things I can say, but I think you'll catch on to it. Because it really is your call on what you post. And definitely don't ever ever EVER let the people with thousands of followers and multiple posts a day intimidate you or make you feel like your blog isn't good enough. They've been doing it longer, chances are, and have developed a following and sometimes have lots of other people come in and guest blog for them. I mean, unless blogging is their full time and only job, no one has that kinda time on their hands. When you need a break, no matter how long it is, take it. Lots of bloggers tend to feel guilty (at least me and quite a few of my blog-friends do) when they take breaks, but the great thing is no one judges you or stops following you or anything. We all understand that we have real lives away from these blogs and sometimes just don't find the time to get on here. :) Anywho, I'll stop there!

    1. You welcome! hehe you can never have enough body scrubs though <3
Thank you, Roni. That is a great reminder because sometimes even though I just started I feel that "oh I have to post today and on time." haha Comparing yourself to others will just make you feel worst, instead of proud for the progress made <2
